Top ten holiday gifts for the RV'er

Now that we live full-time on the road we have a running wish-list of the items that would make life a little easier as we travel. We wanted to build a list that would help you when shopping for your RV friends or family this year. We already own most of the items and will explain how they have enhanced our lives. There are some items that we will be buying in the near future as well!

If you have any ideas about products that should be on this list please leave a comment below!

1. Poweradd™ Apollo Pro Portable Charger Power Bank: This baby has saved our lives a few times. When you need to charge your phone, tablet, laptop, or any other small device and you are away from the RV the Poweradd charger is perfect. It is small enough to fit in a bag and charge your items while you explore, but powerful enough to charge our phone 5x. It has a small solar panel that will boost the battery charge while you are using it so it will not run out of power before your devices are charged. It also has a built in flash light!

2. Air purifying Himalayan Salt Lamp:
We use this daily! We prefer the tea light candle holder version because it doesn't take any power to use it! This lamp is essential for the RV'er because it promotes good health and has a calming effect. When the salt lamp warms it produces negative ions, which decrease insomnia, anxiousness, inflammation, and help to purify the air. In nature negative ions are abundant around waterfalls and are also created by waves in the ocean!

3. 50 states travel stickers:
This may not be essential but it sure is fun! This is a collection of the 50 states that fits perfectly together to create the US. This would be the perfect way to showcase where you have been in your RV and would also be a great conversation piece!

4. NOAA Weather Radio:
We definitely need one of these. This weather radio has solar charge, hand crank, or wall charge options. It comes with a built in flash/ strobe light, and it has severe weather sirens so you can always be prepared. As an RV'er part of daily life is paying attention to the weather.. if you or your loved ones are camping off the beaten path or loose power, which means you cannot watch the weather channel, this radio may be a life saver!

5. Outdoor mat/ carpet:
A lot of our camper friends have these and now that we have lived in our camper for a while we can see the benefit. These mats allow the dirt/ water to go through them, they do not kill the grass, and they help keep the dirt/ leaves/ mud outside of the camper.

6. Road Atlas:
While a GPS app is nice you can never go wrong with actual, physical maps. This may seem like a no-brainer gift idea but its something that some may not have or their copy is very outdated. We use ours often! The spiral bound edition is nice because you can sit it on the dash without loosing your place in the book!

7. Road trip games:
If you are looking for a thoughtful way to enhance the long scenic drives how about some amusement? This road trip game called "adult on board" is geared towards adults that are driving for long distances. Most road trip games are made for children but this one is nice because it is a book full of games, riddles, and trivia to entice the mind!

8. Membership:
There are several awesome membership clubs for the RV'er. There are membership clubs that provide discounts, services, and even a unique program that allows RV'ers to hook up with family owned farms to park for the night! Here are a few links:
Good Sams
Harvest Host
Escapees

9.Apps:
In the age of the internet many things are readily available at our finger tips! Such as phone apps! The couple behind Technomadia has designed three incredible apps that are perfect for the nomad in your life. US Public lands: Updated boundary maps of places you can park on public lands! Coverage?: An interactive app that help the Tech Junkie with phone and data coverage concerns. State Lines: This app alerts you of the laws that change when you cross over state lines. This is very helpful when you live on the road. Check out their apps here: http://www.twostepsbeyond.com/apps/

10. Gift card:
If the Rv'er you love is super hard to shop for, already has all of the items on our list, or moves around too often for you to nail down an address the electronic gift-card is perfect! Select the amount you wish to send them and let them buy items from their personal wishlist!!

We hope this list was helpful, and again if you know of any gifts that are perfect for RV'ers please leave a comment below!
